We invite you to join us any Sunday, starting at 10:30 am.
If you are wondering about our "typical" service format, it goes something like this...
We start with a couple praise songs (some contemporary, some traditional). Words are projected on a screen, or people may use a hymnal...whichever you prefer! This is followed by announcements, and a responsive reading, usually a Psalm from the Bible.
Next is welcome and prayer offered by the pastor. Following that is a Children’s Story. Sometimes the children’s stories are a short message or a play. It might be a magic trick, a visit from a biblical character, or even a scientific experiment, but there is always a lesson about Christ and Christian living!
Joys and Concerns are brought before the Lord, and a prayer offered. We take the time to lift up both our blessings with thanks to God, and those things which make our hearts heavy, in hopes that God will provide healing, guidance or whatever is needed.
We have two scripture readings, one read by a lay person, and the other by the pastor.
A message is next from the Pastor. Frequently we laugh, once in a while we shed a tear, but we are always uplifted, and we always learn something new about how Jesus is relevant to US in the 21st century.
After the message, we have an opportunity to give back to the Lord. As United Methodists, we are a connected church. A portion of each offering goes toward helping people around the world.
On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate Holy Communion. Everyone who wishes to walk in a new way with Jesus Christ is welcome at the Communion table.
We end our worship service by singing a parting hymn. A time of fellowship follows the service.
